Welcome!
My name is Sarah Johns and I'm a lifelong dog lover and owner who has been working as a dog groomer since 2017 when, after a long career in the Royal Navy, I successfully completed the City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Dog Grooming with Canine Design (a leading dog grooming school in Somerset). On my course I learnt a huge amount more about dogs and the techniques, skills, safety and theory aspects of dog grooming. Since then I worked as a self-employed groomer from my custom built trailer from our home in Gosport, building up a wide customer base of all breeds great and small (See Gallery here or my facebook page @saltydogstithians).
We moved to the Stithians Lake area (between Carnkie and Penmarth) in 2020 and I am building up my business again and enjoying meeting the local dogs and their humans!
I am also in date for Dog First Aid training and have completed a 'ThinkDog' qualification in dog psychology, Dog Massage courses and further grooming courses to ensure my skills remain current to ensure a calm, positive and professional grooming experience for your dog.
As of January 2021 I have embarked on the Canine Massage Therapy Centre Practitioner Course - a 2 year programme to be a qualified therapeutic dog masseuse and am completing my theory modules learning more about canine anatomy and physiology.
I am fully insured with Clivertons and am able to collect/drop off dogs if required in the Stithians Lake area.
